WINDOW BROKEN: Police were called to Pressure Boyz, 1511 Pierce Ave. at about 2:44 a.m. Wednesday for a report of broken window. The proprietor had video. The window is valued at $500.

ROBBERY: Police were called to 1802 Pine Ave. for a report of a larceny later turned to a robbery at 3 p.m. Tuesday. The victim reported a man asked him for a cigarette, which he did not have and then grabbed his bag, pulling him off his scooter and running away. The victim suffered a scraped knee. The investigation is continuing.

CHASE: An officer on patrol at 22nd Street and Pine Avenue observed a driver without a seatbelt at 6:47 p.m. Tuesday and executed a traffic stop. The driver presented a Pennsylvania license and rental car agreement. The driver’s name came back as expired in New York. The driver was ordered from the vehicle but put it in drive and sped off rather than complying. The officer followed at a distance and observed the vehicle exceeding 70 mph, ignoring traffic controls, driving recklessly and even colliding with a marked NFPD car. Eventually the driver stopped in the rear lot of the Rapids Theater and was taken into custody at gunpoint. Police smelled marijuana in the vehicle as well as 3 cell phones and $4,010 in cash. The suspect passed field sobriety tests but was additionally tested for drugs. Those charges may come later. For now, the Mang Avenue resident was charged with reckless driving, reckless driving, failure to stop at a stop sign, fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, speed not reasonable and no seatbelt.

PETIT LARCENY: A clerk at Pine Avenue 7/11 reported a suspect dressed in black and wearing a ski mask stole $200 to $300 worth of candy and fled the scene at about 8:37 a.m. Wednesday.

NO LICENSE: At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, an officer on patrol at 24th and Forest was alerted to a suspended registration by a plate reader. He executed a traffic stop and charged the suspect, a resident of Lockport, with aggravated unlicensed operation, operating with a suspended registration and no insurance.
