Signs of spring

Good bikes cheap

The Reddy Bikes are back in the racks. You can rent one anytime you like for cheap. Scan the QR Code on the rack and download the app. It costs $1 for membership if you are a Falls resident.

Chickens

Your right to keep and bear chickens shall not be infringed. I saw a nice flock in Niagara Falls on Wednesday in a location that shall remain unreported to protect the innocent.

We need to revisit chickens. They improve the quality of life and deserve to be celebrated, not prosecuted.

Hot asphalt near you

Just not yet in Niagara Falls potholes. At least by the DPW.

A crew from Mark Cerrone Inc. was paving with hot asphalt that likely came from a plant in Cambria. Hot asphalt the city uses comes from Holcim. That plant hasn’t opened yet.

Artemis launched last night

There is a Niagara Falls connection. Astronaut Jeremy Hanson

for multiple reasons: 1) He was kind to a small child who recognized his blue jumpsuit in Niagara Falls and expressed the dream of being an astronaut 2) When he visited Ghetto Tops on Portage Road, the Canadian veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan expressed fright because of an armed guard and a police substation (I shop there all the time) 3) He spoke frankly about the Wyndham Garden where the NASA contingent stayed being trash. His room had a “basketball-sized hole in the wall.” A colleague’s room had a desk chair held together with a hose clamp. 3) When I asked him if he knew Chris Hadfield, he said he reached out to him and he became a mentor shortly before Hadfield retired. I'm sorry, but here's a fun video of Hadfield in space. (I’m sorry but gratuitous apologies never go out of style, especially when talking about Canadians.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaOC9danxNo&list=PLY6rymYaiv2SVeKw2kowa…
