DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Police were called to College Avenue and Hyde Park Boulevard at about 10:11 p.m. Monday for a report of an unresponsive driver. A Lewiston man was asleep at the wheel. Police awakened him and ordered him from the vehicle. He became uncooperative and while reaching for his wallet discarded a small baggie. Officers took him into custody on a charge of disorderly conduct. Additional charges may be pending.
DWI: Police on patrol at 8:19 p.m. Monday observed an F-150 fail to signal a turn and executed a traffic stop near 500 4th Street. The driver, a 5th Street man, acted confused. He could not produce identification, instead offering a gift card. He could not produce his registration, instead offering a receipt. He smelled of alcohol and was taken into custody on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
SHOPLIFTING: Police were called to Dollar Tree at about 9:13 a.m. Sunday for a report of a shoplifter. A homeless man had loaded goods valued at $7.53 into a bag and left without paying. He was located in the vicinity of the NFTA station and charged with petit larceny.
SHOPLIFTING: Police were called to Dollar Tree Portage Road at about 9 a.m. Monday for a report of a black male with an Indian head dress shoplifting. Police observed the suspect at Portage Road and Elmwood Avenue eating cookies he had allegedly stolen. The suspect was transported back to Dollar Tree and charged with petit larceny.
