Art Council hosts Eddie Fitz tribute

For the 13th Consecutive year, the Lewiston Council on the Arts will host a Tribute to the Edmund Fitzgerald presented by Thomas Asklar.

The event begins at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at Brickyard Brewing on Center Street in Lewiston. Tickets are $10 but free if you joint the Arts Council which is something you should do.

Asklar, a Williamsville teacher and artist, changes his presentation every year as he learns more.

If this is like past years, Asklar’s talk will end with Bruce Wojcik, Jamie Holka, Dave Thurman and Jeremy Hoyle sharing a rendition of Gordon Lightfoot’s classic ballad. (Musicians are subject to change.)

If you can’t make it Wednesday or South Buffalo is more your jam, check out Asklar’s presentation at The Caz this Saturday.
