Niagara Falls Police Blotter:

BURGLARY: A 67th Street resident reported while she was out of town someone broke into her home and stole a Playstation and X-Box.

PETIT LARCENY: Police were called to Family Dollar on Portage Road at about 9:10 a.m. Monday after a black male fled the store and headed toward Niagara tower with two cases of soap valued at $80.

BANK FRAUD: An Ontario Avenue resident reported he wrote a $5,000 to pay toward his truck on Monday and left it in his vehicle. Someone stole it. He reported the theft so the bank will cover his loss.

DWI: At 8:20 p.m. Monday, police responded to 1522 13th St. Police were greeted at the scene by a LaSalle Ave. resident who said he was driving when he struck another vehicle. The driver displayed glassy eyes and said to police “I was crying.” He smelled of alcohol, failed field sobriety tests and tested at .14 BAC. The suspect was charged with moving from a lane unsafely, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 or greater and DWI first offense.

THEFT: An officer moonlighting as Walmart security at 1:20 p.m. Friday arrested a Niagara Falls Boulevard resident who left the store without paying for an air freshener valued at $7.97.

VANDALISM: Police were called to the Niagara Falls High School field house where a district work truck and a glass door was smashed by an unknown suspect caught on camera wielding a hammer.

DWAI DRUGS: Police patrolling near 56th St. and Buffalo Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday reported following a car being driven erratically making a wide turn and the stopping on 56th. The driver was passed out at the wheel with the car in drive. An officer broke the window, put the car in park and took the keys. The driver woke up. She admitted sniffing fentanyl earlier in the day. The driver was charged with an illegal signal less than 100 feet from a turn, improper right turn, aggravated unlicensed operation under the influence of drugs.

DWAI drugs with with a prior conviction within 10 years. Failure to keep left and failure to use the designated lane.
