City seeks Beech Ave. Park input
The City of Niagara Falls is inviting members of the public to provide input on the refined master plan for the Beech Avenue Park at an upcoming public workshop to be held Monday, October 2, from 6-8 p.m. at the Henry J. Kalfas Magnet School Cafeteria, 1880 Beech Ave.
Beech Avenue Park is located on the north side of Beech Avenue between Highland Avenue and Aaron Griffin Way. The 5-acre site, owned by the City of Niagara Falls, was the former location of the Moore Business Forms production facility. The parcel has undergone full environmental remediation, according to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC).
The initial master plan was refined in response to public input received from a Spring 2023 community survey, which aimed to identify gaps in recreational amenities within the community. The purpose of the public workshop is to engage the community within the Highland Beech Neighborhood and the City of Niagara Falls to further refine the vision for the park. This refined master plan will help the City of Niagara Falls identify phasing and funding opportunities for this project.
The future construction of Beech Avenue Park improvements is anticipated to be completed in multiple phases as funding becomes available.
The public is invited to provide input on the refined master plan and help the City identify and prioritize the park improvements that they would like to see included in the initial phase future implementation.
For members of the public who are unable to attend the public workshop and wish to provide input on the refined master plan and help identify and prioritize important park improvements that they would like to have included for the initial phase of implementation are encouraged to submit feedback through the ‘Contact Us’ tab on the project website at www.beechavepark.com
