SHOPLIFTING: Police were called to Walmart at about 4:30 p.m. Friday for a report of shoplifting. Jeffrey Faso, 55, of 211 Council St. was charged with criminal mischief.
UNLICENSED OPERATION: At about 5:20 p.m. Friday police stopped Breion Cooper, 38, of Buffalo after observing a vehicle she was driving turning from Pine Avenue onto Hyde Park Boulevard with heavy damage on the drivers side of the car. Cooper had a suspended drivers license. The vehicle had been in an accident in Buffalo. Neither occupant was listed on the rental agreement.
TRAFFIC STOP: Officers on GIVE patrol near Hyde Park and Walnut at about 5:50 p.m. Friday observed a vehicle turning without signaling and executed a traffic stop. Xavier Gober, 26, of 2801 Hyde Park Blvd. was charged with no inspection, operating with a single plate, failure to signal, operating an unregistered vehicle and no insurance.
TRAFFIC STOP: Officers on patrol on Niagara Falls Boulevard were alerted to a suspended registration by a plate reader. Olivia Cunningham, 33, of 635 25th St. was charged with operating with a suspended registration.
SHOPLIFTING: Officers on patrol at about 1:20 p.m. Saturday observed Joseph Baughmann, 45, of 1322 Ashland Ave, who was known to be wanted on outstanding warrants. They talked to him. He allegedly admitted candy in the bag he was carrying was stolen from Dollar General.
STOLEN VEHICLE: A woman left her keys in her unlocked $55,000 SUV while she shopped at Target at about 7 p.m. Saturday and returned to find someone stole her vehicle.
BROKEN WINDOW: Someone used a brick to break a window at a Packard Court residence at about 5 p.m. Saturday.
SHOPLIFTING: Police were called to Rite Aid on Niagara Falls Boulevard for a report of shoplifting at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Renee Brown, 49, of 1873 Linwood Ave. had been retained by police in an unrelated investigation and was charged with petit larceny after items in her possession valued at $131.70 were scanned. Brown was also charged in an incident at Portage Road Dollar Tree.
STOLEN HARLEY: A motorcyclist reported the theft of a 1998 Harley Davidson from a Spruce Avenue address in the Saturday/Sunday overnight.
BURGLARY: A suspect smashed a window and entered the Hyde Park Golf Course restaurant sometime late Sunday/early Monday, doing $2,500 in damage and taking $3,500 in cash as well as alcohol valued at $200.
