SHOPLIFTING: Police were called to Supermarket Liquors and Wines at 3:24 p.m. Thursday for a report of a shoplifter. A Canadian woman allegedly attempted to steal items valued at $19.86.
SHOPLIFTING: Officer working secondary employment at Walmart at about 8:10 p.m. Thursday were alerted to a Buffalo man trying to leave the store without paying for goods valued at $681. The suspect resisted police and refused to produce identification, telling them he was “King David.” He was taken into custody and eventually identified. In addition to petit larceny, he was charged with resisting arrest.
JAYWALKING: A man crossed in front of a patrol car in the 700 block of 16th Street at 3:14 a.m. Wednesday, far away from a designated crosswalk. Police stopped to talk to the man. He gave a fake name. They were able to build a rapport which led him to give his real name. He was charged with false personation and jaywalking and taken into custody on a warrant from state corrections office of parole as well as Yonkers, NY
