CRIMINAL CONTEMPT: At 1:40 a.m. Sunday, police were called to a Linwood Avenue address where a tired man was found sleeping in violation of an order of protection.
PETIT LARCENY: Police were called to Portage Road Family Dollar at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday for a petit larceny investigation after a man allegedly incident of petit larceny.
JUMPED: A Niagara Street resident was charged with assault at 10:53 a.m. Tuesday after he allegedly jumped his ex-wife’s current boyfriend, knocking him to the ground and punching him repeatedly.
ASSAULT: A Whitney Avenue woman, upset about being evicted at about 8:11 p.m. Tuesday after she allegedly attacked someone who was evicting her from her residence.
BROKEN WINDOW: An 18th Street business suffered a broken window when someone threw a brick at it early Wednesday morning.
SPEEDING: A woman was observed driving 57 mph in a 45 mph zone on Niagara Falls Boulevard at about 4:40 Wednesday afternoon. Police executed a traffic stop, identified the driver as someone previously charged with driving while suspended. She said she was on a payment plan. Police charged her with aggravated unlicensed operation, insufficient taillight, speeding, no license and no inspection.
STOLEN VEHICLE: Police were called to an Independence Avenue residence Wednesday afternoon for the theft of a 2013 Hyundai. Police later received a report the car was recovered in Lancaster.
PETIT LARCENY: Police were called to Pine Avenue 7/11 at 5 a.m. Tuesday where a man was accused of petit larceny for concealing Slim Jims and Sour Patch Kids and leaving without paying. The 32nd street resident was found trying to hide in front of a parked car and taken into custody on a charge of petit larceny.
SAME SUSPECT: At 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, a woman left her car running outside Portage Road Family Dollar and someone drove off. Police reviewed surveillance video and identified the suspect from the 7/11 incident. The victim told police her vehicle was spotted at 19th and Niagara Ave. Police located the car. The suspect ran near Niagara and Welch but was chased down and charged with grand larceny and resisting arrest.
