ILLEGAL DUMPING: Police responded to Sherwin Williams Niagara Falls Boulevard at about 6 a.m. Friday. Someone dumped two buckets and a bunch of empty paint cans.
GRAND LARCENY: A resident of the 800 block of 20th Street reported the theft of a Kia Sportage Friday afternoon.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Police were dispatched to 1700 Pine Ave. at early Friday evening where a man reported he stopped after accidentally rear ending a vehicle. The other driver became irate and punched his car window, damaging it.
NO INSURANCE: Police driving on Pine Avenue reported the plate reader showed a car by the liquor store with a suspended registration. Ivan Brown, 42, of 2920 20th was ticketed for no insurance and failure to notify DMV of an address change.
ABANDONED VEHICLE: Police responded to the 1700 block of 22nd Street for an abandoned vehicle. The last known owner was contacted and said she sold the car several months ago and had no information. The car was towed at about 9 p.m. Friday.
SMASHED WINDOW: A man parked his car in a Portage Road lot Friday night and reported Saturday morning he found its rear window smashed.
FREE PIZZA: Police respondedto Sammy’s Pizza where early Saturday afternoon, Michael Craig, 55, of 9309 Cayuga Drive allegedly consumed a couple beers and two slices of cheese and pep and left without paying. The value of the meal was $13.45. Police charged Craig with failure to pay for service based on stealth.
NONCOMPLIANT DRIVER: Police on patrol on Hyde Park Boulevard and Pine Avenue observed a vehicle make a left on red and executed a traffic stop. Vincent Martin, 56, of 3324 Ely Ave. was charged with traffic violation, redlight, imprudent speed, driving without a license, aggravated unlicensed operation and no seatbelt.
GRAFFITI: Police responded to 1702 Pine Ave. for a report of people making graffiti and located Robert Lansberry, 34, homeless, nearby with two cans of paint in his pocket at about 3 a.m. Sunday. Lansberry was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and possession of a graffiti instrument.
ILLEGAL PARKING: A vehicle parked blocking a driveway on Third Street at 10 a.m. Sunday was towed so a resident could go to work.
TOOLS STOLEN: A couple buying supplies at Target on Niagara Falls Boulevard reported someone busted the lock out on their work truck and stole tools valued at about $2,000 around noon Sunday.
APARTMENT BURGLARIZED: Someone broke into a Tronolone Place apartment Sunday during the day, trashed the place and stole a television as well as a resident’s rent money.
