CASH IN THE WIND: At about 4 p.m. Tuesday, a Brinks Guard servicing the Bank of America ATM at 4th and Main reported he opened the machine as the wind gusted and money blew everywhere. As police arrived on the scene, Samaritans were helping corral the wayward cash. He attempted to retrieve as much as he could. When it first happened, some passersby took the money and ran, apologies to Steve Miller. The amount missing will be determined by an audit.

AIRCONDITIONER THEFT: Police were called to Ollie’s at 12:20 p..m. Tuesday for a report of a shoplifter. A man described as large and white tool an air conditioner valued at $189 and transported it to an 85th Street address where police witnessed numerous shopping carts but could not find the suspect.

SHOPLIFTING: Police responded to Dollar Tree on Portage Road at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday after a Beachwood Circle resident attempted to steal items valued at $43.39.

BURGLARY: Police were called to Niagara Avenue and Main Street for a report of a burglary in progress. An uncooperative witness reported to police someone was inside the business. Police entered the building and identified a suspect who said “fuck you to police” and failed to comply with officers commands. He was recognized by police from previous encounters and was forcibly taken into custody on a charge of obstructing governmental information. It was apparent to police the suspect had been staying in the back room of the business.

WARRANT SERVED: Officers patrolling on 18th Street at about 5 p.m. Thursday reported seeing a suspect known to be wanted on a warrant. The suspect ran. Police caught him, The suspect was wanted on a pair of warrants as well as a charge of bail jumping. He was charged additionally with resisting arrest.
