Park Police rescue distraught man
Yesterday, New York State Park Police - Niagara Zone responded to a report of a male underneath the Rainbow Bridge who was about to jump from the ledge. Upon arrival, Officer Cali observed the male over the railing and fencing standing at the edge. He tried to make conversation, but the male would not speak with patrol. The male was getting closer to the edge and was standing looking down with his feet over the edge. Sergeant Berardi arrived on scene and Officer Cali had him hold him by his gun belt, as he climbed to the top rail and grabbed the male from the edge. Cali pulled the male toward the fence and railing. The male resisted and both Cali and Berardi hung on until Officer Mack arrived and as a team, they were able to pull the male over the rail and fence to safety. The male was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

Just wondering if the contract to run the ice rink at Hyde Park has anything with getting a contract to run the ice rink at the Centennial Park? Because even when the people don't want some thing the Mayor always get his way.
And what is the projected impact to the surrounding communities? I keep hearing dire warnings of noise and vibration to houses that make the area unlivable, but I don't know about this issue to see what the truth is, who it will negatively impact, and how much.
Great! Now, move this big benefit-for-all operation east on to the land you do indeed own, save on power infrastructure and keep the hideous sound retention walls out of sight. I'm sure the owners of the Marriot (former Moore) who are investing a boatload into their property will appreciate it.
