Amazon is hiring
We received a mailing Saturday for Amazon jobs. They are going to need to hire a ton of people for Lockport Road.
The front of the mailer:
“Amazon empowers hourly employees across the U.S. to build rewarding careers.”
And “Meet Katherine: ‘Amazon gave me the tools and opportunities to transform my career.”
“Over $22/hr average wages provides a solid foundation for hourly employees across the country.”
“Health care on day one for the whole family give Katherine peace of mind.”
“Free skills training in mechatronics and robotics boosted Katherine’s skills and career.”
The rear of the mailer:
“Opportunities for hourly employees”
“Over $22/hour average wage
“Health care on day one
“Free skills training programs.”
Amazon for regular full- and part-time employees”
Photos on the front show Katherine to look perhaps Latino, wearing a yellow vest. Three photos show her smiling, looking right with a wall of family photos behind her showing happy white people.
The interesting thing about the mailing is there is no Website, QR Code or phone number. Google jobs near me brings a dead end.
That Bloomberg story link is paywall blocked, but the author/artist has a great portfolio online: https://www.arielabergriger.com/article-toxic-niagara
Sunny, with a high of 84 and low of 49 degrees. Sunny in the morning, clear overnight.
Hahaha!
i keep reading that the new apts that are going to be constructed will be rented at MARKET RATE. could someone please tell me what the market rate is here in the falls? also the article says this development will have condos. how much will they cost?
"Market rate" is a euphamism for as much as possible. Ditto the cost of a condo. The whole thing is driven by the economics of a business plan. It is not simple.
