UNLICENSED: Police on patrol Saturday about 1:15 a.m. Saturday observed a vehicle operating with one headlight and executed a traffic stop. The North Avenue driver only had a permit and told police she didn’t know her insurance would be suspended when she missed a payment. Charges were no insurance, no license and insufficient lights.

RESISTING: At 6:30 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a report of petit larceny at Hyde Park 7/11 where a suspect left without paying for merchandise. Police located a suspect on North Avenue who matched the description of the alleged thief traveling away from the scene on an electric scooter. The suspect would not stop when police activated lights and sirens and continued to flee. Then he ditched the scooter and ran. Police caught him on Cleveland Avenue and took the suspect into custody without further incident. Items allegedly taken from 7/11 were in his backpack. Police charged the suspect with petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, resisting arrest and obstruction.
