Shooting at Ashland and 19th

A 26-year old male was injured after he was reportedly shot in the 1100 block of 19th Street Friday evening.
At around 7:45 p.m., Niagara Falls Police responded to the area for multiple reports of shots fired. Once on scene, officers located more than a dozen bullet casings in the roadway, on the sidewalk, and in a parking lot. Minutes later, officers were advised that the gunshot victim had arrived at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. The male was reportedly shot in the arm and midsection. He was transferred to ECMC with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident is under investigation by detectives.
FIGHT: Police investigating a landlord/tenant dispute at 9:30 a.m. Thursday ended up arresting Guy Beaton, 38, of Garlow Road and Able Blake of Falls Street on charges of disorderly conduct/fighing.
CHARGES PENDING: Officers on GIVE patrol in the 1500 block of Elmwood Avenue reported seeing two males with ski masks asking suspiciously at about 6 p.m. Thursday. One of the males appeared to be clutching something large in his coat. Officers chased down Robert Hilson, 32 if Hyde Park Boulevard. No firearm was located but a quantity of white chunk suspected narcotics were confiscated as well as $475.31 in cash. Charges are pending.
