The Niagara Beautification Commission annual community cleanup is Saturday, May 9.
We spend a lot time complaining about things in Niagara Falls and not enough causing “good trouble” in the John Lewis sense. We get a chance to do that with the annual Niagara Beautification Commission cleanup from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday followed by an after party from noon to 2 p.m. at the Niagara Aquarium. There will be food. And ice cream.
You can register below. Volunteers in the annual event work all morning and collect tons of trash which is dutifully collected by Casella, the city’s residential waste service provider.
Here’s my idea:
Let’s really pump up the spring cleanup. Let’s get some many people and drag so much detritus to the roadside Casella gets overwhelmed.

Sunny, with a high of 77 and low of 56 degrees. Sunny in the morning, clear overnight.

Hahaha!
i keep reading that the new apts that are going to be constructed will be rented at MARKET RATE. could someone please tell me what the market rate is here in the falls? also the article says this development will have condos. how much will they cost?
"Market rate" is a euphamism for as much as possible. Ditto the cost of a condo. The whole thing is driven by the economics of a business plan. It is not simple.
