FREQUENT FLYER: Police were patrolling near Dollar Tree, 701 Portage Road at about 4 p.m. Thursday when they observed Pablo Morales of Whitney Avenue and pulled into the parking lot hoping to deter thievery only to have a manager run from the store and say “Pablo Morales just stole from here and he went that way!” The officer called for backup because Morales is known for fleeing and evading arrest and was seen heading behind Niagara Towers with another individual. Officer Mort collected the suspect without incident. Petit larceny was the charge.
UBER ANGER: Police were called to Caravan Motel on Niagara Falls Boulevard at about 1 a.m. Thursday after an incident involving an Uber driver who brought his fare to the motel only to have her go in a room. A man living there emerged and kicked the driver’s car. Police investigated him
ILLEGAL TRUCK: Police on patrol on Porter Road observed a truck with no stoplamps at about 2 p.m. Thursday and executed a traffic stop. The driver, a 91st Street resident, was charged with no front plate, nontransparent windshield, and no stoplamps. A DOT inspection was conducted and the vehicle was taken out of service.
