The joy of spring

We went looking for a place to walk late Friday. It was chilly by the water at Porter on the Lake. Four Mile Creek campground is still closed.

We headed to Lewiston and parked in the lower lot at Artpark. The forest is filled with spring ephemerals.

White lilies, trout lilies and wild tulips were everywhere. It’s an easy walk even for those who aren’t mobile. Photos by Beth Genco. No essay is complete without a bounding dog.
