Community information group hosts forum
The Niagara Community Information Group is gaining strength.
It is a grassroots effort by people who believe if we share information, communicate and be kind we can solve problems, in the school district and in our city government.
Its first effort this spring succeeded because it brought a candidates’ night to the school board race.
NCIG doubled down in the Democratic primary for City Council, getting ahead of the Gazette’s last-minute, disconnected routine to stage a real candidate’s night. It wasn’t perfect but it was better, and different.
The same group, first concerned with schools, is the core to a grassroots movement firmly focused on a renaissance for Niagara Falls led by making the school district more attractive to families looking for a place for their children to succeed.
NCIG is hosting a meeting with Adam Fogel, Chief of Staff for Congressman Tim Kennedy, to discuss the Big Beautiful Bill and what it will mean for our community, including its impact on food costs, housing, and taxes.
This event will take place at 6:30 p.m. Monday, December 1st at 6:30 PM at the Underground Railroad Heritage Center, 825 Depot Ave., Niagara Falls, 14305.
