NO INSURANCE: At about 5:40 p.m. Monday, police on patrol on Pine Avenue observed a vehicle operating at a high rate of speed, ran its plates which came back suspended. The 20th Street resident was charged with driving with no insurance and a suspended registration.

SHOPLIFTING: At 1 a.m. Monday, police were called to 7/11 on Hyde Park Boulevard for a report of a shoplifter. A trio of suspects was located nearby at 24th and North Streets. The main suspect, a Whitney Avenue resident, was found in possession of items valued at $23.53 for which he had not paid. He told police “I took it because I was hungry.” He was charged with petit larceny. One of the other suspects was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear. The third suspect was released.

NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Police were called to 718 Clifton St. for a neighbor dispute at about 4:15 p.m. Monday. A man reported he put up a snowfence on his property but his neighbor tore it down. The fence-builder showed police a survey of his property completed on July 10, 2025 that showed where the property line was located. Police told him he could put his fence back up. His neighbor continued to be unreasonable and interfere. She was taken into custody on a charge of criminal tampering.
