STOLEN BIKE: Police were called to Devlin Avenue on Saturday to investigate the theft of a 24” Huffy Rock Creek Mountain Bike valued at $105.
NO SMOKE FOR YOU: A woman smoking a cigarette outside her Pine Avenue apartment about 3 a.m. Sunday when she was approached by a man who tried to bum a cigarette. When she told him no, he became irate and closed in. When she told him to get away, he punched her in the head and slammed her to the ground.
RIDE RESPONSIBLY: A 20th Street man was observed riding an e-bike on the sidewalk near Quality Inn on Niagara Falls Boulevard at about 11:44 a.m. Friday. Police attempted a traffic stop. The suspect walked away and entered Quality Inn, refusing to comply with the officer’s commands. Police called for backup while the suspect was locked in an office area in the hotel. He was charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
PETIT LARCENY: At about 1:21 p.m. Friday, police were called to Subway where a man had taken money from the tip jar on the counter. The suspect was wearing a gold doorag, purple sweater and tan pants. He was located a few blocks away, ducking into Diamond’s Fashion. Police entered the store and located the suspect who reportedly said “you really going to prosecute me over $7?” to which the officer replied “yes.” The suspect at first refused to give his name and then said it was “Montezuma.” He was eventually identified but also refused to give the name of his probation officer. He was brought back to Subway for positive ID and charged with petit larceny.
TARGET CREEPER: A shopper at Target reported she was in the oil aisle at about 5:14 p.m. Monday when a man approached her carrying no purchases and pushing no cart and gave her butt a double-handed squeeze and pulling her toward him. She pushed him away, called her husband and reported the incident to store management who called police. The suspect had left the store and was observed walking toward Taco Bell but he returned to the scene. Confronted by police, he said he was “only looking for a girlfriend.” The suspect said he was homeless and came here with a one-way bus ticket from Michigan. The suspect was observed on video doing the same thing to multiple other women, none of whom reported it. He was taken into custody on a charge of forcible touching.
