FRAUD: A resident of Centre Court Apartments reported to police her mother paid back rent to avoid eviction on Sept. 22, 2022, giving 5 $1,500 money orders to a man who was working in the office. On Oct. 3, 2022, the checks were deposited electronically to a Chase Bank account. Centre Court Apartments uses M&T. Police gave the victim instructions on how to follow up.

VANDALISM: At about 11 a.m. Wednesday it was reported someone smashed a door window with a rock at the Niagara Falls High School Field House on Porter Road.

THEFT: A man reported he went to 7/11 Sunoco on Niagara Falls Boulevard to buy cigarettes at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday, left his wallet on the counter and now it is missing.

VANDAL TAUNTS: Someone smashed a front window with a rock at Niagara Falls High School at about 12:43 a.m. Friday, pouring white paint on the window, causing $1,600 in damage and leaving a note that said “you will never find me ever!!”

ASSAULT: Police were called to Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital on March 18 where a Falls Street resident was being treated for injuries sustained when he was allegedly jumped by his landlord. The victim suffered cuts, bruises and a broken hip. The report was released Friday after the suspect was charged with assault.
