STOLEN CAR: A Falls Street resident reported he started his Chrysler 200 to warm up before work at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday and when he went outside to leave, his car was gone.

DAMAGED WINDOW: A woman returned home from work at a Walnut Street address at 1 p.m. Wednesday, heard a loud noise, notice her motion-detecting floodlights activated and discovered her garage window, valued at $300, damaged.

BAD FIRST DATE: Jermaine Copeland, 42, of Greenview Terrace, was observed driving fast on Pine Avenue by police at about 9:50 p.m. Tuesday. Police lost site of Copeland after attempting a traffic stop but his vehicle crashed into a tree on Tennessee Ave. where he fled the scene. He was located nearby and charged with felony DWI with a previous conviction within 10 years, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, reckless driving, unsafe turn, leaving the scene of an accident, fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle and imprudent speed. A female passenger in the vehicle appeared intoxicated and told police she was on a first date with Copeland.

DRAG CAR ON ROAD: Police were called to the area of Community Missions on Buffalo Avenue for a report of a speeding vehicle. They eventually located a 1978 Chevy with racing slicks on the rear tires at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The car had switched plates. The driver was a Willow Avenue, Niagara Falls resident. A man arrived on the scene with a truck and trailer and claimed the vehicle was his “wasn’t on the road” and was “for the track.” A tow was called but it was unclear if the car was towed or the owner was allowed to trailer it. The suspect, whose name was blacked out on the report, unregistered, no insurance, improper plates, no license and no inspection.

BURGLARY: A 3rd Street resident reported the theft of a safe and several grams of marijuana at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. Numerous neighbors had video. Police have suspects.

GARAGE BURGLARY: A 26th Street resident reported someone broke into a rented garage and stole 4 ceramic frogs and the charging cord for a leaf blower. The items are valued at about $70 and were taken Monday/Tuesday overnight.

STOLEN ITEM RETURNED: A Ferry Avenue resident reported he ordered pizza and had it delivered. After the drive left, he noticed his pop, that had been delivered from Walmart, was missing from his porch. He called the pizzeria. The driver brought back the stolen pop. The incident happened about 4:15 Friday.

STOLEN CARD: A 24th Street resident reported she left her vehicle unlocked Monday/Tuesday overnight and someone took cash, a wallet valued at $1,200 and ate a bowl from Chipotle left in the car. Cash was also taken. A debit card taken in the theft was used fraudulently at several bodegas.
