GRAND LARCENY: Police took a walk-in complaint from a man who said his father is a patient at Niagara Falls Memorial and was a victim of a theft. Taken were identification, credit cards and $300.
SHOPLIFTING: A Falls officer moonlighting as Walmart security was informed a suspect failed to scan 3 items at self-checkout valued at $6.24. Gary Whyte, 46, of 3-4552 Portage Road was charged with petit larceny.
BURGLARY: A Woodlawn Avenue resident reported sometime between Friday and Saturday someone stole a 50-inch Roku television valued at $300 from her apartment.
FIGHT: Officers on patrol near Ashland and 19th observed a man laying on the ground near a bike with a crowd gathered round. A bystander told police the injured man fell off his bike. Police checked cameras inside the Ashland Store and observed the man, who appeared intoxicated, had been on the losing-end of a fight.
SPOILED PARTY: Police responded to Holiday Inn Express for a disturbance at 4:20 p.m. Saturday where Mikia Banks, 28, of Buffalo lost her temper when she found out the pool was closed. Banks planned a birthday party for her daughter. She allegedly demanded a refund, cursed, smashed a computer and later said to police “I ruined my daughter’s birthday because I got mad.” She was charged with criminal mischief.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A homeless looking man entered Cadille American Legion on Market Street at 10:30 p.m. Saturday and allegedly rambled incoherently and was asked to leave. Kyle Lorence, 59, allegedly head-butted and broke the door glass. He was charged with criminal mischief.
