Happy 38th Anniversary to us. We celebrated by walking to Canada. I am really lucky to have Beth by my side. The views of the Falls in Canada are better. Just about everything else sucks. Vehicle infrastructure dominates the riverside.
The Tesla Museum and power portal are awesome. Everything else was expensive and crowded. I will take the majesty of the US side over the calamity of Canada 10 times out of 10.
We even got hollered at by a Canadian border guard. "You have passports?" "Not with us," I said. "I have an enhanced license." "I don't know what it is with your Americans thinking you can enter a foreign country without a passport. You can use a drivers license to go state-to-state. You need a passport to enter Canada! You can look it up on Google."
“We cross by car with nothing more than a license all the time” I said.
“That’s not what the rules say!”
He let us pass but it was unreasonably snarky. Still, it takes more than one guard having a bad day or some overpriced, over-crowded attractions to rain on our parade. It is easier to handle the tough times when you have someone to share the burden.
I know how he felt. No one cares about crooked DA's
Patchy rain nearby, with a high of 77 and low of 52 degrees. Don't forget your umbrella! Sunny in the morning, clear for the afternoon and evening, patchy rain nearby overnight.
Art(?) in front of the Why restaurant is absolutely the ugliest thing we have seen! It took a whole week to do it also costing my cousin who owns the Why a lot of business plus the money lost. With all the nice art on Main why do that? Just a bunch of ugly cups and nothing else that looks like anything!
Plus those white poles look like a hazard waiting to happen. Most likely will not last through the winter.
