Albertan voters overwhelmingly vote to stay Canadian

Out West, oil-rich Alberta, the fourth most populous province in Canada, voted against independence.

The referendum was the first step in secession. Only 24% of voters wanted a binding vote on independence.

Meanwhile in Quebec, secessionist voices are rising once again.

Given the rhetorical parallels, the Canadian separatists are easily seen as MAGA north, garnering less than 25% of the vote is a harbinger of United States midterms to come. The Blue Wave is roaring toward shore.
