BIKE STOLEN: A man locked his Takara road bike up outside Pine Avenue Save-a-Lot and returned a few minutes later to find it had been stolen. The bike was valued at $370. The theft happened shortly after noon Tuesday.

SHOPLIFTING: Store personnel at Portage Road Tops stopped Steven Brabec, 44, of 411 6th Street at about 10:50 a.m. Tuesday morning. Brabec was held for police and charged with petit larceny for attempting to take items valued at $49.82.

LARCENY: A LaSalle Avenue resident reported someone charged $46 to his debit card without authorization, including $17 to Uber. The theft was reported last Thursday.

RESISTING: Officers on GIVE patrol at about 4:38 Tuesday noticed Zoltan Szabo, 25, of 3039 Monroe Avenue riding a bike and carrying a black bag on 20th Street. They turned around to talk to him. He rode away quickly, ditched the bag, ditched the bike and took off through backyards with police in pursuit. Szabo made it to 830 20th St. ran inside. Police kicked the door open but decided to establish a perimeter because of two large pitbulls inside. Szabo jumped from the 2nd floor and took off running. Police chased him again and brought him into custody with a taser. Szabo was charged with resisting arrest and bail jumping. The bag was recovered and contained jewelry. A quantity of suspected narcotics were recovered as well.

SHOPLIFTERS: A trio of Black females is being sought in the theft of clothing valued at $89 from TJ Maxx at about 7 p.m. Tuesday.

SHOT: A resident of the 2900 block of 22nd Street was shot in the leg at about 4:56 a.m. Wednesday. He told police he did not know what happened.
