STOLEN VEHICLE: A resident of the 1600 block of Michigan Avenue reported she sent her daughter outside to start the car before school Monday morning. It was gone. She had the keys.

PURSE SNATCHED: A woman walking on 10th Street near the post office reported someone snatched her purse from her walker and fled the scene at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

GRAFFITI: Someone painted graffiti on the wall at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. It was discovered Monday.

UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE: A 15th Street resident reported someone charged $43 to her debit card without permission between Saturday and Sunday.

MENACING: Police responded to 2621 Pine Ave. for a report of a man with a gun at about 3:30 Monday afternoon. Police located Roy Dean Allen, 54, who had allegedly been involved in an argument with another man. Dean allegedly shot in the direction of a woman, who was not hit. Dean was charged with menacing, felony criminal mischief, felony assault with attempt to cause physical injury and reckless endangerment.

NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Police were called to a neighbor dispute at Niagara Falls Motel at about 6:40 p.m. Monday. Tywaun Barnes had allegedly thrown a pot of hot coffee at his neighbor. Barnes, who was known to police, became combative when asked to place his hand on a patrol car and allegedly tried to walk away as he said “you aren’t detaining me.” Barnes ignored multiple commands to put his hand behind his back. During the detention, the arresting officer was punched in the face. Barnes was charged with assault with intent to cause injury with a weapon, assault 2nd, burglary 2nd, resisting arrest and obstructing.

CASINO TROUBLE: Seneca Niagara Casino security captured and detained Cory Baker, of 901 Cedar Ave. after he was observed on casino property at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday. Baker has been excluded from the property for allegedly breaking into vehicles. He was charged with possession of burglary tools and trespassing. Baker possessed a glass window breaker commonly used by thieves to shatter car windows in the tourist district.

MENACING: A trio of women, one of whom brandished a firearm, were sought by police at about 12:15 a.m. Tuesday after allegedly confronting a woman at the address following some kind of dispute.

DWI: When a vehicle failed to signal at about 10 p.m. Monday, police attempted to execute a traffic stop on South Avenue. James Nelson, of Grand Island eventually pulled over. Nelson refused field sobriety tests. He was charged with DWI, no inspection, failure to signal and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.

GIVE DELIVERS: Officers on GIVE patrol pulled up in front of Hometown Market 2 on 18th Street. 3 young men started to walk toward the officers vehicle when they realized it was police. They abruptly headed in the other direction. One ran. Police chased. Robert Wilson, 19, of 4200 Pine Ave. was apprehended after he threw something while running. Police recovered a Taurus G2C handgun with an extended clip and 19 rounds. Wilson was charged with C felony criminal possession of a weapon and obstructing governmental administration.
