SHOPLIFTER: Police were called to Walmart at 5:55 p.m. Sunday for a report of a shoplifter. A loss prevention person confronted a man attempting to take $34 of merchandise without paying. The suspect left the merch and fled.

SLASHED TIRES: An unknown male slashed the front tires on a vehicle parked in the 3100 block of 23rd Street sometime early Tuesday morning.

PORCH PIRATE CAUGHT: A resident of the 2400 block of Linwood Avenue observed video of a man stealing a package off her porch at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. She saw the suspect, called police, and followed. Shawn Kurtz, 48, of 1838 Linwood Ave. ditched the package in a garbage can but allegedly confessed to police. He was charged with petit larceny. The package was not recovered.

VANDALISM: Police responded to a trailer at 8119 Niagara Falls Blvd. after a resident reported a woman riding an ATV approached her trailer, yelled at her and pulled off aluminum skirting.

GRAND LARCENY: A resident of the 500 block of 19th Street reported she parked in front of her home at 11:30 Tuesday when a homeless neighbor approached and took $80 in cash from her. She knew him by his street name.
