BURGLARY: A contractor doing work on a Cleveland Avenue property reported sometime between February 18 and 24 someone kicked in the rear door and stole flooring valued at $1,100 and tools valued at $300. Damage to the door was estimated at $3,000.
VANDALISM: A suspect on a bicycle trashed a flag and pole in the 1100 block of 98th St. early Tuesday morning, part of an ongoing pattern of similar incidents.
FALSE REPORT: Officers charged Harold Foshee, 59, with falsely reporting an incident after he told police someone stole and crashed his car at about 4 p.m. last Wednesday near 115 Main St.
SHOPLIFTING: Elizabeth Calaty, 34, of 2010 Pine Ave. was charged with petit larceny after allegedly taking items valued at about $395 from a store at 9701 Niagara Falls Blvd. at about 11 a.m. Thursday.
BURGLARY: A resident of the 1500 block of LaSalle Avenue reported sometime between Wednesday and Friday someone smashed a basement window and gained entry to his home. Nothing was taken.
GUN FOUND: Officers on GIVE patrol observed Nigel Isom, 37, of 1838 Willow Ave. walking near 1500 Whitney Ave. at about 2:20 p.m. Friday with what appeared to be a heavy object in the front of his hoodie. Isom failed to respond to officers commands to halt and took off. He was caught in a backyard. A bookbag containing a handgun had been thrown over a fence. Isom was charged with two felonies, criminal possession of a firearm, and criminal possession of a firearm with a previous conviction, failure to yield other than a crosswalk and obstructing governmental administration.
PETIT LARCENY: A pair of brazen thieves entered Sam’s Club at about 2:55 p.m. Friday and left without paying for a pair of electric scooters.
INTERFERING: Kayla Kurek, 34, of 2618 Porter Road interfered with an investigation into a crash near Word of Life Ministeries on Hyde Park Boulevard at about 1 a.m. Saturday. She allegedly ignored officer’s requests to leave the area. She was warned, failed to comply ad arrested on charges of obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
STOLEN VEHICLE: A resident of the 500 block of 5th Street reported someone stole his vehicle on the Friday/Saturday overnight. He may have forgotten to lock it.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A Willow Avenue resident reported sometime Saturday night someone smashed her car window.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A Pierce Avenue resident reported sometime early Sunday morning someone smashed her car window.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A South Avenue resident reported someone smashed a car window early Sunday morning.
PETIT LARCENY: At about 6 p.m. Sunday police responded to Walmart where Steven Carlile, 55, of 642 Pasadena Ave. was charged with petit larceny for allegedly taking a 6-pack of Labatt’s beer and a Samsung sound bar without paying. The items were valued at $246.
STOLEN VEHICLE Police responded to a 26th Street residence where a Kia was stolen sometime early Monday morning.
