ILLEGAL VEHCILE: At about 11 a.m. Sunday on Pine Avenue police observed a westbound vehicle in the 2200 block passing vehicles illegally on the right and executed a traffic stop. The driver, a MacKenna Avenue resident told police her license was suspended and she was hurrying to get home. The driver and passenger both did not have seatbelts on. The driver said she borrowed the vehicle from a friend and it was a Hertz rental but she could not produce paperwork. It was towed. She was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, improper passing and no seatbelt.

ASSAULT: Police were called to the 500 block of 18th Street at 5:40 p.m. Saturday for a report of an assault. A woman had been pummeled about the head and had swelling around her right eye. Police located a suspect on Pine Avenue and brought her to the scene for a show up. The suspect, a South Avenue resident, was charged with simple assault.
