Asylum seeker freezes to death

At first, I thought of the case of Nuruh Amin Shah Alam as merely in unfortunate accident in Buffalo, not Niagara Falls.

The asylum seeker, a refugee from Myanmar, froze to death Wednesday. He was released from the Erie County Holding Center to Border Patrol which dumped him at Tim Hortons and never bothered to call family or make sure he was safe. His family looked for him. It was too late, a preventable tragedy.

This is a horrible injustice, a miscarriage of the highest order. Below is a timeline as published by WBEN.

Gord and I see Border Patrol at DeVeaux Woods State Park almost daily, keeping us safe from criminal aliens and deer.

This week, we saw four deer and chatted with an officer sitting in his idling SUV on the bikepath. I asked if they see much in the line of crossings or illegal activity. He assured me they catch criminal aliens here and it is important to keep the neighborhood safe.

I know there have been coyote sightings near the dog park where we headed next --not human traffickers but canines. By the playground, we chatted with a grandmother, daughter and grandson. They are Ukrainian and speak with thick accents. This is the 3rd time we have seen them. The toddler will soon no longer be afraid of the dog.

I wonder if that Border Patrol agent noticed they didn’t speak American and checked their papers. You can’t be too safe. When do we Make America Great Again?
