WALMART TROUBLE: At 11 p.m. Friday, asset protection staff reported seeing a woman leaving the store with a cart of goods for which she had not paid. The suspect was a Walmart employee. The goods were valued at $723. The Willow Avenue resident was charged with petit larceny.
PETIT LARCENY: At about 7:50 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, a Niagara Falls police officer assigned to Walmart was called to a suspected shoplifter who attempted to leave without paying for goods valued at $141. The Willow Avenue resident was charged with petit larceny but agreed to pay for the goods in question and was not trespassed from the store.
WALMART AGAIN: An officer working secondary employment at Walmart at about 3:35 p.m. last Tuesday was directed to a Beldon Village woman accused of taking items valued at $31.92. She was arrested and charged with petit larceny.
STROLLER CAPER: Police were called to Target at about 3:50 p.m. on Christmas Eve for a report of petit larceny. A Canadian woman entered the store with an empty stroller and loaded it with toys valued at $354. Then she left without paying only to be accosted in the parking lot, charged with petit larceny and given a trespass notice.
TRESPASS: Police were called to 1725 Pierce Ave. for a report of a trespasser at 9:37 a.m. Friday. The property manager said there was an unwanted guest. Indeed, a man was lying on a bed. The man with a Linwood Avenue address said it was his first night there. He was charged with criminal mischief and burglary.
