As a bunch of rain and wind approaches and potentially snow weather comes after, it is worth celebrating.
I love when out-of-town friends and family ask “why would you choose to live in Buffalo, New York?”
My rote answer is always “the weather.”
As John Steinbeck said so eloquently, “I've lived in good climate, and it bores the hell out of me. I like weather rather than climate.”
State Parks is hosting a First Day Hike at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 1 at Whirlpool State Park. It will be about 3 miles.
It gives me great joy to be able to say “hey, take a walk in our front yard” and to boast I don’t need to make a special trip to go for a walk with Gord.

Moderate or heavy snow showers, with a high of 36 and low of 19 degrees. Don't forget your umbrella! Sunny in the morning, patchy rain nearby in the afternoon, heavy rain in the evening, overcast overnight.
Unfortunately with the mayor we have, the prospects of true revitalization of Main Street, Pine Avenue is slim to none. There's money to do it but no transparency and accountability ...just my thoughts
The key to both Main and Pine Avenue is having objective 3rd parties involved. It quells my skepticism but just a bit.

You can get a bottle of Berryman fuel system treatment for $5 and most likely can change your own cabin air filter, unless it involves taking your whole dashboard out. Kia just tried that with me and all I had to do was go I through my glove box to check it. I'm a certified YouTube mechanic now :).
