Chaos is coming
As we go back to Presidents Coolidge and Hoover, international diplomacy meant the US only chipped in when it was in our best interests. There was only self-interested involvement. Keeping peace took a backseat to furthering parochial interests. Those times have returned. How it plays out is uncertain but Russia and China are sure to take advantage.
