With a 60% increase in health insurance premiums right around the corner for millions of self-employed people who rely on State Insurance Exchanges and the Affordable Care Act for coverage, the government shuts down today because when the President said “approve a continuing resolution and we can fix it soon” they correctly surmised “soon” means never. The President acted surprised that working families would be so hurt by his actions. It was as if he’s that far out of touch.
