Sabres deadline thoughts: Robert Thomas is the player I want most but I expect the price to be too high. I don’t want to part with Helenius or Mrtka. Krebs is showing the value of patience, the same sort of patience Jack Quinn is rewarding. The question becomes is Jarmo Kekailainen secure enough in his ego to stand pat or flip a pick for a depth defenseman. Also, is a depth defenseman going to be an improvement over what Ryan Johnson or Zac Jones has to offer. Don’t forget Conor Timmins is almost back. Finally, when does Mason Geertsen return (that was the one mistake this season from Lindy.)

What receiver is coming?
