Last winter, I decided I was going to try and buy tickets to a Bills game right before Christmas so I could attend with our sons Joe and Ben.
Three decent tickets with taxes and fees were going to run about $800. That’s insane. We watched on TV instead.
It’s even worse now. 2 upper deck seats, midfield $651. Two games would be $1302 (before taxes and fees) for a couple upcoming games. Throw in parking and a beer and it's easily $750 a person.
I decided to go another route. Hey, if the Bills are out of reach, why not Sabres. Two tickets for 11 games in the nosebleeds. $1,482.
Let’s see: What’s a better value? $134 per game or $651? Maybe I’ll save my money and take a walk by the river instead. Then again, 2 tickets for Fuzzy and the Rustbelts were $18 each. That seems like a better option.
Better yet, the Blues Festival tonight and Saturday is free on Old Falls Street. This is the 14th year and it promises to be great as always.
I'm so happy that one of my favorite derelict houses may get new life! It's such a great location. "A genius child is never loved."
Sunny, with a high of 77 and low of 41 degrees. Sunny for the morning, clear for the afternoon and evening,
Great idea. My concern is will the dollars and manpower be there to spruce this up every spring? Paint doesn't adhere to blacktop well. Throw in winter conditions along with plows scraping the pavement, salt and exposure to summer elements which are bound to take their toll. Will this be guaranteed?
Great and legitimate questions. I don't know the answer. I am hoping if the paint doesn't hold it just fades. That intersection scares me when I pass it multiple times every week
