NAME CHANGER: Police on patrol at 20th Street and Pine Avenue at about 11:30 a.m. last Thursday encountered a homeless woman who ducked them. When they caught up with her, she gave multiple false names. Ultimately, she was taken into custody on a charge of false personation in addition to a warrant from Lockport.

PETIT LARCENY: An officer moonlighting at Walmart charged a Willow Avenue man with petit larceny after he allegedly attempted to steal goods valued at almost $125 at about 7:30 Thursday.

MENACING: Police were called to a Royal Avenue address at 5:48 p.m. Friday for a report of a man with a gun. A dispute between residents and a 6th Street man resulted in a charge of menacing. He allegedly brandished a firearm but none was recovered.

DWI: Police on patrol at about 8:55 p.m. Saturday on Niagara Falls Boulevard for a report of a 2-vehicle crash. A 24th Street resident’s vehicle rear ended another car. The suspect failed field sobriety tests. He claimed to be diabetic. A blood alcohol test came back .25%. AMR checked his blood sugar just to be safe. It came back a 117. The suspect was a citizen of India and had a temporary visitor non-domiciled commercial driver’s license. He was charged with aggravated DWI, following too closely, driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. He was detained for Border Patrol.
