TRAFFIC STOP: Police executed a traffic stop at 19th and Ferry Avenue at 5:54 p.m. Thursday after observing a vehicle operating without plates. A Walnut Avenue resident was charged with no insurance and operating an unregistered vehicle.
BIKE THEFT INTERRUPTED: A 70th Street resident interrupted an attempted e-bike theft at about 2 p.m. Thursday. Police chased down a suspect who fled through the Niagara Falls Boulevard Tops lot as well a Bank on Buffalo before ditching his backpack. When police caught the suspect he had no ID and offered a fake name. Officers retrieved the backpack which contained bolt cutters and other burglar tools. The suspect was charged with criminal personation and possession of burglar tools.
PETIT LARCENY: Police were called to Portage Road Family Dollar at about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a shoplifter. The suspect, a 2nd Avenue resident, attempted to take items valued at $144.87 without paying. The suspect was observed in the 700 block of Pine Avenue and ran from police. He was chased down and charged with bail jumping, resisting arrest, burglary and petit larceny.
