Thompson, Cheney honored
Bennie Thompson and Liz Cheney were awarded the Presidential Citizens Medal by President Biden for their role in leading the January 6 committee. President Biden honored 20 citizens, mostly people who stood up for what is right and against the sort of tyranny favored by the incoming administration. It will be interesting to see how many award honorees get called to testify when Republicans in the House begin their witch hunts in January. Musk wants more immigrants
The battle over H1-B visas is simple. It creates indentured immigrants working at Tesla. The workers need to be sponsored by an employer and stay for 3 years to avoid being deported. If they do a good job they can stay for 6 years. It’s a bit like my friend Eli bringing workers to Niagara Falls from New York City to renovate homes and giving them a free place to live. “You don’t show up and work hard? I will throw you out. You must go.”
