TRESPASSING: Police responded to 2235 LaSalle Ave. at about 6:30 a.m. Friday after receiving a report of an attempted break in. They saw a man run from the scene and gave chase, catching Damion Powell, 50, homeless, a few yards away after he broke a vinyl fence. Powell gave a false name. He was charged with criminal personation, obstructing governmental administration and criminal mischief. The resident of the home Powell attempted to enter declined to cooperate with police or press charges. The person whose fence was damaged cooperated.

BURGLARY: Police were called to the 1600 block of 10th Street for a report of trespassing. Andrew Patterson, 34, homeless, entered a car and garage sometime around 3 a.m. Friday. He was charged with burglary, petit larceny and criminal mischief after he was located enjoying a beverage from the garage refrigerator.

OUT WITH A PARTY: Officers investigating a burglary near Niagara Falls Boulevard at about 4:30 p.m. Friday observed a suspect matching a witness description on the Boulevard. Andrew Patterson, 34, was apprehended after a short chase in possession of items taken from other places. He was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and possession of burglar tools.

TRAFFIC STOP: Police on patrol in the 700 block of Main Street observed a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker and executed a traffic stop. The driver, John Ferguson, no age or address available, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, no inspection and operating an unlicensed vehicle.

DWI: At about 11 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to the scene of an accident at Pine Avenue McDonalds. A woman reported she had been traveling eastbound when her vehicle was struck by a northbound vehicle at the intersection of a street redacted. Leon Street, 71, of 1824 Pierce Ave. appeared intoxicated to officers. Street was unable to complete field sobriety tests. Street was transported to 1925 Main St. where he fell asleep. AMR was called to transport the incoherent suspect to the hospital. Street was charged with DWI, running a redlight and failure to yield the right of way.

WARRANT EXECUTION: Police were dispatched to a Hyde Park intersection for a report of a hit-and-run. They observed a vehicle heading eastbound with no bumper. Don Gammons, 42, of Buffalo, was detained on a warrant.

SUSPECT WITH A GUN: Officers were called to the 1600 block of Main Street for a report of a man with a gun at the Maytag Laundry. Frank Amanti, 29, of Buffalo, was observed attempting to hide something, later identified as a BB gun. He was also in possession of brass knuckles. Amanti was charged with menacing and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

TRAFFIC STOP: Police on patrol at about 10:50 a.m. Sunday when they observed a vehicle without license plates and executed a traffic stop. Glenn Myree, 51, of 2221 Niagara Ave. was the driver and was charged with no license, aggravated unlicensed operation, no insurance, operating an unregistered vehicle, no inspection and no license plate.
