'Filled with Love' smoked salmon rocks
So last week, I stopped in at Filled with Love Buffalo, 6505 Campbell Boulevard to purchase smoked salmon. It goes well with bagels from FJZ bread at the Lewiston Artisan and Farmers’ Market.
The lox, imported from Finland, by way of Ukraine are phenomenal.
As I pulled away, the store owner, Karina Krantz, ran out the door and handed me two more packages because she couldn’t sell them.
They were dated Sept. 19. The package also included language suggesting the shelf life was 547 days but that may require freezing.
It’s already preserved by smoking. It should be good for several months in the refrigerator, right?
We have also tried cherry crepes as well as a bag of Russian meat-filled dumplings. They mostly look like ravioli. They were a little expensive but we got two full meals with leftovers.
The store also has Anastasia’s Artisan Bread, locally sourced fruits and vegetables and Plato Dale meats. Krantz offers to round up every transaction to the next dollar as a donation to the International Institute.
