No one had the 53 right. We all missed on Hardy, among others. Think about the economics for Joe Andreessen.
Under the current contract, NFL rookie minimum salary is $795,000. It jumps to $960,000 year 1 and $1.03 million year 2. Joe Andreessen is a great story, but let’s hope he sticks and for 3 years or so, the length of an annual NFL career. He is 24. If he can do it, even as a backup/special teamer on the 53, he should be set for life. That’s $2.785 million for 3 years work.
