MONSTER PANHANDLER: Officers responded to a report of an aggressive panhandler at about 5 p.m. Friday. They encountered Luis Ortiz, 45, of 5655 Niagara Falls Blvd. and recognized him as wanted on a warrant. Ortiz had a casted arm. Police cuffed him against resistance, connecting one cuff to a belt loop. Ortiz was charged with criminal mischief, aggressive panhandling, harassment, menacing, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Police were called to a report of a suspicious person at 3 a.m. Saturday and apprehended Cory Baker, 44, of 901 Cedar Ave. on a charge of criminal trespass. Baker, according to the police report, has been stopped numerous times for larcenies to vehicles and checking door handles.

DISPUTE: Police were called to a disturbance at WellNow on Niagara Falls Boulevard at about 10 a.m. Saturday and found Brittany Johnson, of 123 70th St. banging on doors and windows. Police attempted to calm her. She had allegedly been assaulted by Jonathan Donovan, 30, of the same address. Jonathan was charged with assault 3rd, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.

PHONE STOLEN: Friday overnight an I-Phone was stolen from a vehicle parked at Wyndham Garden Inn.

BROKEN WINDOW: Someone threw a rock through a window in the 2000 block of Forest Avenue at about 8 p.m. Saturday.

KISSING BANDIT: A resident of 901 Cedar Ave. reported a woman flirted with him, and they began kissing at about 11 p.m. Saturday. After they parted, he noticed his wallet, containing $200 and cards, had been taken from his back pocket.

CASH STOLEN: A woman playing the slots at the casino reported someone stole $2,000 in cash from her purse early Sunday morning. The incident was captured on video and there is a known suspect.

PHONE SMASHED: A resident of the 400 block of 18th St. reported a man punched him in the face and smashed his phone.
