THEFT OF SERVICES: A women took a taxi from Buffalo to Grand Avenue and then disappeared without paying her fare at about 11 p.m. Sunday.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A Forest Avenue in the process of moving reported someone broke into her vehicle by breaking a window and tampered with the ignition.
STOLEN VEHICLE: A car was stolen from a Tennessee Avenue address sometime around 10 p.m. last Tuesday.
PETIT LARCENY: Someone entered a backyard in the 500 block of 22nd Street and stole a generator and bicycle sometime early last Friday morning.
FRAUD: A woman with an address of Hennepin Avenue reported someone used her address and social security number to open a bank account in her name. Nothing was charged.
PLATE FOUND: A resident of the 500 block of 16th Street reported someone hit her vehicle and drove away. A license plate was found on the scene early Tuesday, March 5.
DWI: Police responding to an unwanted person call on Ashland Avenue advised Andrea Labonte, 43, of Canada to leave the scene where she was being confrontational from the driver's seat with another person at about 5 a.m. Saturday. Labonte was advised to leave the scene or face a charge of disorderly conduct. She circled the block and returned to the scene, allegedly running a stop sign in the process. Officer investigated further and suspected she was drunk. She failed field sobriety tests and was charged with DWI, driving with an obstructed view, and aggravated DWI per se with nop prior offense.
ILLEGAL PARKING: Police were called to Memorial Parkway Saturday morning for a rental car parked illegally blocking a driveway. It was towed.
PETIT LARCENY: Officers responded to Military Road Walmart after 3 woman allegedly attempted to leave without paying for $222 worth of laundry detergent. Keiana Relands, 36, of 2208 13tth St., Renee Freeman, 56, of 800 Niagara Ave. and Danielle Mathis, 33, of 1313 Willow Ave. Al were charged with petit larceny.
STOLEN VEHICLE: A Kia was stolen from an Edison Avenue address on the Saturday/Sunday overnight.
PETIT LARCENY: Police were called to Walmart at at about 5 p.m. Sunday where Paul A. Powell, 35 of 2943 22nd St. allegedly failed to scan 28 items valued at $108.75 and attempted to leave the scene. He was charged with petit larceny.
STOLEN CAR RECAPTURED: Officers on patrol on 13th Street observed a suspected stolen vehicle at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Javon Sitzer, 18, of Grand Island was the driver and attempted to flee a traffic stop at high speed before crashing into a utility pole. Sitzer was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, failure to obey a police officer, fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, failure to use signal lights, imprudent speed, failure to stop at a stop sign and no license.
DWI: An officer traveling on Cleveland Avenue at about 1:40 a.m. Sunday reported having to swerve to avoid being hit by a vehicle turning in front of him. Police attempted a traffic stop but stopped pursuit when the vehicle took off at high speed. A short time late they came upon the vehicle crashed into a tree. Dominick Kelly, 31, of 2927 Hope Blvd. was charged with operating a vehicle impaired by drugs, DWI alcohol, failure to use designated lanes, using alcohol/cannibis in a motor vehicle on a roadway, imprudent speed, failure to stop at a stop sign failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and no license.
UNRULY GUESTS: Police assisted staff at the Hampton Inn on Niagara Falls Boulevard with enforcing curfew after guests at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday were reported causing a disruption. Adults were drinking alcohol. Young hockey team members were playing catch with a football.
