BLAME THE DRUGS: Police were called to Niagara Towers last Wednesday for a report of two snowblowers, a garage heater and a propane tank stolen from the maintenance room. While reviewing video of the theft, a worker told police a suspect from the video, wearing the same clothing, had entered apartment 411. Police called for backup. The resident allowed police into the apartment. The suspect, a Niagara Avenue resident, was taken into custody on a charge of burglary as well as grand larceny. He told police he was on drugs last night and already sold the stolen goods.

DRUNK AND OUTTA GAS: Police were called to Pine Avenue 7/11 at 3:31 a.m. Saturday for a report of petit larceny. An intoxicated 10th Street resident was in the back seat of a vehicle that was out of gas. She had allegedly stolen 2 cans of 4 Loko valued at $6.59. She had no receipt. Alcohol can’t be purchased after 2 a.m. The suspect was charged with petit larceny.

PETIT LARCENY: Police were called to Tops Niagara Falls Boulevard for a report of petit larceny. A Youngstown woman allegedly took personal care items without paying at about 11:43 a.m. Saturday. She was charged with petit larceny.

LEAVING THE SCENE: At 11:08 p.m. Saturday, police were called to the 1100 block of 22nd Street for a report of an accident where a driver had fled the scene. Police interviewed the alleged victim and gave him an incident report ticket. Later in the evening, police responded to another hit and run. The same victim was involved only he became a suspect. He admitted he falsely reported the previous incident and was also charged with leaving the scene.
