Beaver Island event facility wins award

WeddingWire is a large and trusted global marketplace connecting engaged couples with local wedding professionals and has announced Beaver Island’s Falconwood is the winner of its 2023 Couple Choice Award.

Millions of couples around the world are able to search, compare and book from a directory of over 500,000 vendors. Founded in 2007, WeddingWire's portfolio of sites help couples and businesses in 15 countries across North America, Latin America, Asia and Europe.

In 2019, Montana International signed a 20-year contract with the State of New York to provide guest services to all State Parks on Grand Island and that included the event center in Beaver Island State Park.

Most locals will remember it as The Casino. It's also gone by the name, The Clubhouse and is currently called The Falconwood.They named it after a popular hotel that was on the land where the park is now back in the 1800s.

The event center had laid dormant since there was no concessionaire for about a year and a half.

So in 2019, Montana hired a sales person and started marketing and building a team and a book of events. Then Covid hit and the whole world stopped.

All of their efforts were wiped clean as events were not allowed and/or people were too nervous to book for a few years. But, they have been diligently working at building their team to offer a wonderful experience for all guests who plan their special events with them.

Cyndy Montana, the owner, has worked to make The Falconwood a premier event destination in WNY. This award is showing that they are on the way to fulfilling that dream. The Falconwood already has the beautiful setting in a State Park overlooking the Niagara River, free parking and a beautiful facility.

The food is excellent quality, the service is friendly and professional and because they are a little smaller than most event centers, the personal attention the guests receive is what is making them stand apart.

The Falconwood can host weddings on the beach or in the grove, events in the traditional banquet hall that holds up to 250 or on The Terrace that can hold up to 300 with brand new see-through shades for the windy or cold days. They could even put up a tent on the lawn beside the boardwalk/beach. There are so many options and every one of them offers a beautiful setting in the 1,000 acre State Park.
