If you’ve been downtown at night in Niagara Falls this summer, you have probably seen a strange character on an electric unicycle with lights and body armor, zipping around, sometimes with music playing.
His name is Thomas Reinbird. The 68-year old retiree lives in Wilson.
His cycle cost about $3,000 and has a range of about 70 miles. He's out after dark on Friday and Saturday nights.
It gives people thrills to see him because it is somehow mysteriously futuristic.
“I am a pilot,” Reinbird said. “But I have had more fun doing this than I ever had flying.”
He parks in the Discovery Zone lot before his nightly forays into the crowd.
Cloudy , with a high of 30 and low of 15 degrees. Cloudy in the morning, partly cloudy during the afternoon, clear in the evening, partly cloudy overnight.
