Halifax Airport seems medium sized, sort of like Buffalo. Signage was minimal. There wasn’t even an information desk or map to show us where the Avis desk was hiding.
We traversed the concourse and found the queue where Jonah helped us secure a Hyundai Venue. We had rented a “Corolla or Similar” so getting a new small SUV with 45 kilometers on it was an unexpected upgrade even if it does feel like a cheaply made, clunky can of tuna with no pep, even slower than our Subaru Forester.
It also wasn’t the Dacia Jogger we got in Ireland but hey, I’d rather drive on the right anyway. That Jogger, a Romanian vehicle manufactured by Renault, was comfortable and different.
Jonah tried to give us instructions for taking the backroads to Wolfville but despite my notes and careful attention we quickly found ourselves traveling in the wrong direction.
I don’t remember how long the drive was because we were taking in the countryside but eventually we found our way to our two-night rental, a hillside studio bunker, comfortably appointed in an apple orchard adjacent to a sheep pasture.

We're on Whirlpool and have had repeated issues of our cell phones picking up the Canadian cell towers across the gorge and having to argue that we're not roaming to Google fi.
I think the expanded Niagara falls State Park is a good idea because it helps showcase the extensive gorge park and trails from devils hole to the falls. Canadian side does not have anything like that. We are located near Whirlpool and I hope they continue to allow the Meadows to grow wild rather than trying to cr
